Hello,
Let me start by saying its great to be here and you are a lovely audience. No I'm just kidding. Only let me start by telling you something.
I decided to write a blog after I watched Julie & Julia. Great movie by the way, you've gotta love Meryl Streep. Only it made me want to write a blog, so here I am. The first thought that came to my mind was, "What the heck am I going to write a blog about?" After thinking for a while I thought, "How about just writing about everything?" By everything I mean everything I think or feel, about life, things going on in the world.
My friends say I'm a pretty funny and outspoken person on things. So I'm going to give it a try. My names Madi, I'm thirteen years old and live in a small town in Indiana and this is my blog.
About the title, To the End of the Block and Back. I can't make a decision to save my life, so it only took me about two hours to think of it surprisingly. I texted about everyone in my contact list to help me think of it and to my shock, i thought of it on my own. What I mean by to the end of the block and back, is that it's what i do when i miss the bus. No I'm just joking with you. Only they say to the end of the world and back. And that's not happening anytime soon, unless you believe in the whole 2012 thing. But I don't really know what that means, it could mean many things for different people. For me its experiencing life to its fullest. Which I try to do, only I haven't been many places. Unless you count the seven times I've been to Disney World, but hey it's the happiest place on earth, who doesn't like it there a little bit. So I'm going to get the best out of life from the end of my block and back. Who knows though, I hope to go farther someday. Until then I'll let you know what its like from my little culdesac.
Well I hope you had a Happy New Year. Mine started out cleaning, yippee! I think 2010 is going to be a good year. Don't you? Only I'm a completely optimistic person so of course I'm going to say it will be a good year. And that's how it should be. There's always one thing during the day that makes you smile, that makes it a good day. So with 365 days in a year, and everyday a good day, that makes it a good year.
Good Bye for Now,
from Madi
